From Broken Bay at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River to south of Newcastle, the Central Coast includes a mix of bays and inlets, pristine beaches, lakes and lush hinterland.

While Gosford is the central business hub of the Central Coast, picturesque villages along the coastline, such as Pearl Beach, Ettalong Beach, Hardys Bay, Avoca Beach, Terrigal, Bateau Bay, Toowoon Bay, The Entrance, Norah Head and Forresters Beach, are popular holiday destinations with many accommodation choices available, from hotels and motels, plush resorts, welcoming bed & breakfasts, hostels, caravan parks and camping grounds.

There are so many things to see and do on the Central Coast. Book one of the many available tours. Dont miss the beautiful Somersby Falls in Brisbane Water National Park and the secluded beaches and bays of Bouddi National Park. Crackneck Point Lookout in Wyrrabalong National Park is a great vantage point for whale watching.

If it’s good food you’re after, Terrigal and The Entrance have great restaurants, while Norah Head has a historic lighthouse that’s well worth a visit.

For the kids
There is never a shortage of activities to keep the kids busy on a trip to the Central Coast! Get up close with your favourite Aussie animal at the Australian Reptile Park, get lost in the amazing maze at Amazement, or head to the trees at Treetop Adventure Park. Learn more about your favourite sea creatures at the Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre, or enjoy Pelican Feeding at The Entrance.

Take to The Water
With so many beaches, it can be tough to decide which one to go to first. For great surf, visit North Avoca and Soldiers Beach, for great views of Bouddi National Park, visit Umina Beach, or for great people watching, visit Terrigal Beach and Avoca Beach.If youre looking for something to do on the water, why not learn to surf? You could also try scuba diving at the Ex-HMAS Adelaide, or take a boat out and enjoy a day of fishing.

Natures Wonders
The Central Coast is home to a number of stunning National Parks and forests. Perfect for bushwalking and exploring, there is Brisbane Water National Park, Bouddi National Park, and Strickland State Forest, to name but a few.A visit to the area would not be complete without taking one of the many beautiful coastal walks. Walk from MacMasters Beach to Terrigal for the unmissable 5 Lands Coastal Walkway, or for a refreshing experience, take a dip and a walk around Pearl Beach Rock Pool.
